Individual therapy

It is good to talk about our vulnerability to stress. Paradoxically, it takes courage and is a sign of our willingness to step back and reflect.

I am a BACP Accredited psychotherapist and have practised for over ten years. I use an integrative model, using different types of therapy depending on what will be most effective for you, what is needed to regain vitality and purpose.

Together, we look at your relationships – with partners, children, friends or colleagues – and see what needs to change to bring in more joy.

During our work together, it may be that themes emerge and links can be made which illuminate early influences, showing how you got to where you are as an adult.

Some of the time, physical techniques will be used to help reduce stress, anxiety, constant ‘fluttery’ or panicky feelings. The body often has the longest memory, as it were.

I particularly help those suffering various kinds of addiction or compulsive behaviour – to work, drink, drugs, gambling, sex, food – helping you change self-sabotaging patterns, rediscover aspects of yourself that have become dormant.

As Nietzche wrote, ‘become who you are’.
